Are you done with your Christmas gift shopping yet? If you have a tight budget why don't make something that your friends and family would love?
Here are some tips
1. Make the thought count
In many cases, simply putting extra thought into your shopping can result in gifts that are cheaper and more personal. Scan your old photos and start to create a personalized Christmas cards. Choose a very memorable photo with them. If you have an oldest photos like 20 years back, pick it. Your love ones will surely love it ;)
2. Keep an eye on sales
Which I always do :) It may seem obvious, but store circulars are a great source for holiday bargains. Go to Thanksgiving sale and buy some beautiful and useful sale items like picture frames, sweater, sugar and creamer set, mug and others. We saved 50% on our gifts! :)
3. Surf for savings
It's no wonder that people are shopping online -- no crowds, deals found at a click, free shipping. Not only that the Internet allows you to comparison shop without having to visit the mall, a great way to save time as you stretch the budget.
4. Give a theme gift
Gift baskets and boxes are fun for recipients and can be frugal for givers. With the many different gift-basket themes nowadays, creating a gift basket yourself that matches the special someone who needs the perfect gift.
• The spa treatment. Search the Internet and stores to get the ingredients for a perfect at-home spa day.
• Healthy gourmet. Bundle together healthy food and drink items or ingredients. Include a gadget to encourage healthy eating, such as a smoothie maker.
• A night out. Make a promise of dinner and a movie, including a free night of baby-sitting.
5.Buy in bulk
Buying in bulk can often net big savings. Buying more than one of something isn't cheap if the thought behind it is genuine. If your friend or family loves to cook, buy them a nice kitchen wear or buy them a cook book :)
7.Get the family to go frugal
Sometimes, people overspend during the holidays because it's a long-standing tradition in the family. Don't be afraid to break the cycle.
8. Save on your spouse
Agreeing to a low spending limit for your honey can actually be a romantic gesture.
Did you know that eating Celery has a lot of benefits for our health. And I was surprised how this amazing super foods will our help body. Let me share with you some benefits that you could get from eating Celery :
1. Eating celery will reduce high blood pressure and give the effect of calmness perhaps because of the high calcium content :)
2. Celery clears uric acid and may help the treatment of arthritis and rheumatic problems.
3. Celery also helps the kidney and will help eliminate body's waste through the urine.
4. Another benefit of celery is the fact that you can eat a lot of it without thinking much about your waistline. Celery actually has almost zero calorie. Awesome!
1. TRIM BACK THE TRIMMINGS
Go all out and deck the halls with boughs of holly, glitter and lights, but when it comes to holiday food, accessorize with care. To shave calories, go easy when adding nuts, cheese, cream sauces, gravy, butter and whipped cream—additions that don't add much to the meal, but can add plenty to your waistline. Trim calories wherever you can so you leave the party feeling satisfied, but not stuffed.
2. WEAR SNUG CLOTHES AND KEEP ONE HAND BUSY
When you wear snug-fitting attire, chances are you'll be too busy holding in your stomach to overeat. While you stand around looking posh in your holiday finery, hold a drink in your dominant hand so it won't be so easy to grab food.
3. CHEW GUM
When you don't want to eat, pop a piece of sugarless gum into your mouth. This works well when you're cooking or when you're trying not to dive into the buffet.
4. BE A FOOD SNOB
If you don't love it, don't eat it. Scan the buffet for foods you truly treasure and skip the everyday dishes that are available all year long. And don't think it's your responsibility to sample everything on the buffet. Go ahead and indulge in your personal holiday favorites, then find a seat and, slowly and mindfully, savor every mouthful.
5. NO SKIPPING MEALS
Always eat normally on the day of a party. People who skip meals to save up calories tend to overeat everything in sight once they get there. Start with a nourishing breakfast, have a light lunch, then a small snack or salad shortly before the event.
6. CHECK IT OUT
First things first. When you arrive at the party, grab a sparkling water with a twist and wait at least 30 minutes before eating. This will give you time to relax, get comfortable in your surroundings and survey your food choices on the buffet before diving in. A buffet is an invitation to eat all you can, and unless you carefully scrutinize it and make wise choices, you're likely to overeat.
7. ADD FUN AND GAMES
Taking the focus off food and getting family and friends more active during holiday parties. Think horseshoes, badminton, sledding, ice skating or building snowmen. Indoors, try a spirited game of charades, or rent an instructional dance video followed by a dance-off. "The best parties include dancing, so why not make dancing after eating a new holiday tradition for a great form of fun and recreation?"
8. ALTERNATE ALCOHOL WITH NONALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Alcoholic drinks are loaded with calories—especially holiday favorites like eggnog. Cut your alcohol calories in half by alternating water or seltzer between alcoholic beverages.
9. SKIP THE APPETIZERS
Eschew the appetizers rather than chewing on them. If you need a little nibble before the meal, go for the veggies, fruit, salsa or a small handful of nuts.
10. LIMIT THE VARIETY
But of course the party is not only for the food and drinks, you can get a chance to bond with your family and friends so enjoy it. Just get right back to normal eating and exercising, and try to do a better job at the next party.
I cannot deny the fact that I’m supering from hair loss. I tried to use different shampoos but nothings changed. Also, I stop cooking sinigang for a while. I think sinigang mix has a lot of msg and salt that can be one of the causes of hair loss.
It’s one of the maddening ironies of aging: Hair gets thinner where we want it — on our heads — and starts sprouting up in places we don’t.I tried these healthy hair foods from Drs. Roizen and Oz (see below) — they can help make your locks look more like they did in your 20s.

* Eat more salmon. Omega-3 rich foods like salmon and sardines help seal in shine. Distilled fish oils or DHA supplements will work, too. Need something new to do with salmon? Try this quick and easy Blackened Salmon Sandwich from EatingWell.
* Be a bran lover. Bran is rich in vitamin B, which may slow hair loss and promote hair growth. Other B-rich victuals include beans, peas, carrots, cauliflower, soybeans, nuts, and eggs. Make bran-infused pancakes a snap with this Healthy Pancake Mix.
* Say yes to avocados. Avocados and avocado oil may prevent some funky stuff that kills hair follicles — dihydrotestosterone (DHT) — from getting where it needs to go. Watch this video for shortcuts on cutting, peeling, and seeding an avocado.
* Say no to animal fat — and red meat — if you’re losing hair. They can lead to more DHT production and hair-follicle damage. Make meat-free gravy for your mashers with this delicious Portobello Gravy recipe.
* Stock up on green tea. Brew a strong pot, cool it, then give your head a rinse to help kill off dandruff-causing fungus. Incidentally, if you drink green tea, the caffeine in it may help slow balding, too. Try this simple Green Tea-Fruit Smoothie for breakfast — another fabulous EatingWell recipe.
I'm thinking to buy a new lens :) well, of course I still have to ask my husband's approval first :) I'm looking at 17-40mm and 24-70mmL lens. I'm out of the blogging world for days!
How was your week? How you celebrated the Thanksgiving? Our was pretty fine :) Hubby and I celebrated it with our friends :) We had dinner together, the food and the night was fantastic ! All of us brought some food to share then we played cranium afterwards :)
If you are not familiar with Cranium, it is a board game. Spell a word backwards, hum a tune, answer a multiple-choice question, draw with your eyes closed, and more when you play Cranium. Cards from four decks, color-coded to match each of the crazy characters -- Star Performer, Creative Cat, Data Head, and Word Worm -- describe activities that teams must complete in order to advance around the board. If you choose a Sculptorades card from the Creative Cat deck, for example, you might be asked to sculpt a hamburger from lemon-scented Cranium Clay while your teammates try to guess what you're creating. To win the game, teams have to make it to Cranium Central -- the large purple brain in the center of the board -- and then successfully complete one activity from each of the four decks. The result is that the team with the best combination of abilities comes out on top.

After our shopping galore at Albertville, we went straight to Ultimate Electronics to buy the HDTV that we are eyeing for. We got $400 discount on 46" Samsung 1080 HDTV. Cool! Worth it na yung pagpupuyat namin ;) grabe! we're all too sleepy! I was talking to the husband while driving home, I was worried baka makatulog sha. We got home around 10am!
The long weekend seems to flew so fast! I just wish there's another long weekend to look forward to.
If you're wondering why your waistline is expanding, don't watch what you eat. Watch how you eat. Those who wolf down dinner apparently triple their risk of being overweight.
Scientists suggest the modern manner of eating too quickly - and until absolutely full - is a significant factor in the obesity epidemic. Such eating habits pile on the pounds much more than expected, even taking into account the amount of calories consumed,
They suspect the joint impact of eating fast and until full overrides signals in the brain which would normally encourage a little more self control.
'If you eat slowly then there is some feedback from the brain that this is enough, and this helps stop you eating before you are full,' he said.
So ladies, if you wish your waistline doesnt expand, eat slowly and savor the taste of the food so you will not finish the whole serving, make sense right?

This trip was one of the happiest trip that I had! :) We were able to visit nice places in Penang and went shopping ( as usual *lol)
